Roundup WeedKiller Lawsuit

As of August 2022, only three settlements have been awarded to plaintiffs in Monsanto/Bayer Roundup lawsuits, each having been reduced after judges concluded the original judgment to be “out of step” with legal precedent. ³

The lowest settlement awarded, after being reduced from an appeal, was $20 million. ³

As of September 2022, there have been several lawsuits filed with mixed rulings.

• 2018 Groundskeeper in California won $300 million against Bayer 1 & 3
• May 2019 A couple in California was awarded $2 billion in punitive damages after using Roundup for over 30 years before developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma 3
• March 2019 A plaintiff was awarded $80 million in damages after using Roundup for over 25 years before developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma 3
• October 2021 The company Bayer won its Roundup verdict in California after a jury found that a child’s development of Burkitt’s lymphoma was not substantially caused by the household use of Roundup 3
• December 2021 Bayer won its second Roundup verdict in California after a jury found the plaintiff's development of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was not substantially caused by the household use of Roundup 3

As of August 2022, an MDL or multidistrict litigation, which included thousands of lawsuits, is being handled in California. ³

Multidistrict ligations are a way to save time by handling multiple injury lawsuits as one. ¹

Roundup lawsuits against Monsanto-Bayer products with glyphosate are still happening. ¹

• 2019 The University of Washington found that glyphosate exposure increases the risk of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma by 41% 1,2 & 3
• 2022 CDC announced that 80% of Americans have traces of Roundup in their urine 1

Have you developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma within 2-4 years of the last time using Roundup?
